Sleepless in the Saddle

We recently enjoyed ourselves immensley at this event - a change of venue helped bring a fresh feel to one of the most laid back and family friendly races on the U.K. calendar. We were racing with two teams and helping three soloists, including Cristina Begy (Maverick) who flew in from the U.S. to gain a 2nd place in Ladies Solo. Rob, Nick, Selby and I managed to get 134th place and Dave, Ian, Craig and occasional Mark got 113th position with 31 laps. Ag even managed to help the Giant guys get third place in Elite Men. He's too speedy for us.

The sun shone, beer flowed and good times were had by all. We'll certainly be there next year, will you?

Maverick ML7.3

We just had another delivery of Maverick goodies and included were some more of the fabulous ML7.3 - see here for more details.

This particular one is a small frame, click the image for a better view. The new logo's on the SC32's are a perfect match too. Go on, you know you want to...

email problems...

It seems we've been having problems receiving email over the past few days - if you've tried to get in touch and had no response, it could be because we've not got your mail.

We're working on it right now, but if you need an answer, get on the phone and tap out 01270 883785.

Thanks.

Saab Slaloming Mountain Mayhem

Well, that was a fantastic event - we had a great time, met some fine folk and had a good response to our demo fleet. More than that we even managed to get a few laps of the course and have to say it was excellent.

If you're not famillar with the event, it is one of the U.K.'s biggest 24 hour mountain bike races. There's more than just racing though, there's the demo day, lots of stands from shops and manufacturers, 24 hour hot and cold food, great coffee(thanks Hill and Valley) and this year there was even a concert by the London Philharmonic. Most importantly though, there's the opportunity to meet old freinds and make new ones, both on the race course and off it.

Make sure to pencil it into your diary for around this time next year. But don't forget to bring wellingtons and sun cream.

Dirt Demo

Fancy riding one of our test fleet and meeting some of the folk behind the bikes we represent? Well from the 24th to the 26th of June we'll be exhibiting a skip full of cool bikes at the Dirt Demo at this years Mountain Mayhem. We'll have bikes from Spot, Independent Fabrication, Maverick and VooDoo along with Michael from Spot and Joe from IF, who will be happy to answer your questions about the great bikes they make.

We'll be racing too, in a 24 Hour marathon - come and see us and have a beer while we're not out on the course.

More Wool

The world has gone mad for wool jerseys - here's some natty new threads from our chaps on the other side of Hadrians Wall, Endura.

Merino wool, short or long sleeves, scooter blue, orange or black as de hat and starting from just £60 - you'd better be quick on these folks.

Livewrong

Wristbands, eh? Seems that you just can't get by without one these days, well here's our contribution to the Chinese plastics industry. Livewrong - it just about sums up the sybaritic lifestyle that modern man desires. If the goodwill and compassionate consideration of others is starting to grate just a little, then indulge yourself in some egotistical retail therapy and stick two fingers up to the rest of the world.

The first 50 folk who place an order for anything truly self-centred will qualify for a free Livewrong band, so they can show the world who they really care about.

Brooks Wool Jerseys

L'eroica.

Each September the village of Gaiole, in Chianti, plays host to a community of cyclists determined to re-live the bygone era of cycling as it used to be - simply heroic. A grueling set of dirt road courses from 40 to 200 km await the participants who ride L'eroica on vintage bikes, whilst donning period clothing. Our friends at Brooks aim to make this a truly international event and have designed this beautiful, Italian made, wool jersey as a celebration of times past.

Each jersey comes in a traditional brown paper apportaice and has three rear pockets, metal zip and undeniable style.

Afan

We just spent four days sampling the trails of Afan, South Wales (more pics here) and were blessed with the best weather, finest riding, good company, superb accomodation and great times - here's to riding bikes with friends and spanking the trail, whenever you can.

Maverick ML8

The ML8's are here - we have good stocks of all colours, that's Black Ano, Powder Green and Hard Ano.

Call in for a test ride, these will blow you away...
